Springbase vs Otter.ai
Otter writes the notes.Springbase does the work that follows.
Otter stops at the transcript. Everything you actually do afterwards — the follow-up, the proposal, the CRM update — happens in some other tool, on some other bill. Springbase captures the meeting and then plans, drafts, and ships the work that comes out of it, with unlimited meetings from $9.99 a month.

Why teams move from Otter to Springbase
Every Otter figure on this page comes from their own published pricing and links back to it. Here is what those numbers mean once you are actually using the product.
No 90-minute ceiling, no monthly minute budget
Otter Pro stops recording at 90 minutes and meters you to 1,200 minutes a month. Every paid Springbase plan is unlimited meetings with no cap on length, so the quarterly review and the four-hour workshop are covered the same as a stand-up — from $9.99 a month.
One flat price, however many people use it
Springbase is never billed per seat and has no seat minimum. Otter charges per user and its Business plan requires at least five billed seats before you can start. Add a teammate here and your invoice does not change.
The transcript is the starting point, not the deliverable
Otter hands you notes. Springbase turns the same conversation into an approved plan, a finished document in Canvas, or an action across 1,000+ connected apps — using any of 61 AI models, with your meetings as grounded context months later.
Inside Springbase
Three things that happen after the transcript
The meeting becomes context, not an archive
Every transcript is indexed and becomes searchable context for everything else you do. Ask a question three months later and the answer cites the call it came from. Attach a meeting — or all of them — to a plan, and the work starts from what was actually said, not from what you remember.
Revenue grew 23% in Q3, led by enterprise expansion and higher annual prepay conversion.1 2
The pricing notes point to stronger expansion in the enterprise tier, while the revenue meeting calls out repeat-work automation as the key buying trigger. 3
From decision to deliverable, in one place
A decision made on a call becomes an editable plan you approve step by step, then a finished document, dashboard, or draft you can send. Not a summary you copy into another tool — the actual output, made in the same workspace that heard the conversation.

Agents that act, with a human in the loop

The real comparison
You are probably paying for three of these already
Otter handles the meeting. Something else answers the questions. Something else moves the work. Here is what that costs per person, at list price, billed monthly.
Springbase Starter does all three jobs — meetings, the AI you ask, and agents that move work between apps. Pro at $19.99 adds every frontier model and still comes in under a single ChatGPT Plus seat.

Connect Google Calendar or Outlook so Springbase can join the meetings you choose.
On a Mac, install the companion app to capture in-person conversations and any call your machine can hear.
Keep Otter running in parallel for a week and compare the two on the same meetings.
One thing we cannot do: import your Otter history. Past transcripts stay in Otter, and Springbase starts from your next meeting. If that history matters, export it from Otter before you cancel.
Questions people actually ask
Does Springbase transcribe meetings in real time like Otter?
Not as live captions during the call. Springbase transcribes in chunks while the meeting runs, so your summary, decisions, and action items are ready moments after it ends — which is when you actually use them. What you get instead of live captions is everything that happens next: plans, documents, and agent runs built from the same conversation.
Can I import my Otter transcripts?
No. Springbase starts from your next meeting. You can export your history from Otter and upload individual audio files, but there is no bulk migration from Otter into Springbase.
Is there really no meeting limit?
On any paid plan, meetings are unlimited and there is no cap on how long a meeting can run. The free plan covers 5 meetings a month. Meeting processing draws on your monthly credits — in practice a typical meeting costs a couple of credits to summarize, against 1,000 a month on Starter.
Which meeting platforms does the notetaker join?
Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams, automatically from your Google or Outlook calendar. On a Mac, the companion app captures anything else your computer can hear — WhatsApp and FaceTime calls, Slack huddles, Discord, or a conversation happening in the room with you.
Do I need a Mac?
Only for local and in-person recording. The calendar notetaker for Zoom, Meet, and Teams works from any browser. The companion app currently requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 13 or later, and there is no Windows build yet.
Do you charge per seat like Otter?
No. Springbase plans are a flat price, with no per-seat billing and no seat minimums. Otter's Business plan requires at least five billed users; ours requires none.
What does $9.99 actually include?
Starter gives you 43 AI models — including Claude Sonnet 5, GPT-5.6 Terra, Gemini 3.5 Flash, and Grok 4.6 — plus unlimited meetings, Plan Mode, Canvas, agents, and 1,000 credits a month. Pro at $19.99 adds the frontier flagships: Claude Opus 5, GPT-5.6 Sol, and Gemini 3.1 Pro.
